Well-respected company seeks a high-energy sales professional who desires to learn the crop insurance business. Candidates must have an aggressive sales bent and be willing to work hard and cover a territory. The keys to success in this position are developing strong relationships and partnering with producers and following up with the details to help customers manage their business risk.
The ideal candidate will have an agricultural background with sales experience, be from the region, and have some contacts and relationships in the area. Fertilizer or chemical sales experience would be great. Grain marketing background is a big positive.
Candidates must be aggressive on the sales side but also detail-oriented to do the follow-up work necessary for long-term success. Good computer skills, a desire to continuously learn and keep up-to-date, plus an ability to educate farmers are all key characteristics for candidates to have.

Ideal location for candidates is an area around Monmouth, Illinois (north or south is fine), or candidates could even live in eastern Iowa. Pay is base plus commission with income potential for a solid performer being $100,000+.
